I want a decent rack for 3 bikes with maximum distance between bikes so minimum contact..
Cheers
Thule, expensive but does the job well
Got a Thule 3+1 rack. Realistically, bars need to be turned to fit and you might want some pipe lagging if you are very precious about the bikes you ride downhill at 20+mph.
I've got a Witter 404 I need to sell. Only used once or twice until I got my van, so its like new. Fits 4 bikes properly (rather than 3+1) and tilts. Based in the south east if you're interested.
Best I think depends on the car. For me with cars with a vertical tailgate the Atera STRADA DL 3 wins.
It slides on a curve rather than tilts and means I can still open the tailgate of the T4 with the bikes on.
Have had both Thule and Atera and can't go wrong with either tbh

Worked for me. Super strong and simple.
I have a Thule 928 and the 928-1 clip on adapter for a third bike. Gives me 22cm between the first two bikes and 19cm for the third bike, but the bike sits slightly higher so minimal contact.
The 929 is 19cm for all three bikes, which was no good for me, as any bike with a 142mm back end and pikes/36's will be pretty much 21cm wide.
Actually I lied, used to have a Thule but now have the Atera 3+1.
Same applies - bars hit saddles unless you turn them.
The Atera slides rather than tilts, which is great for boot access
Great stuff fellas
Decathlon has one which is OK now 100 quid
Buzzrack takes 4 securely and tilts. Alternating bikes and dropping saddles takes 4 mountain bikes without turning the bars. Quite heavy and you feel the car handling change when fully loaded, but that's the price for something robust I suppose.
Are you the chap with a transit van? I had a thule which was great on my old vw transporter but when I got a transit I found the square back meant the bars hit the back of the van unless turned sideways. Being a lazy are I just sling the bikes in the back now
