anyone done touring on a singular swift

not 'bikepacking' but proper loaded up touring. cooking, eating sleeping etc all the gear

what racks did you use?

On your other thread folks were saying you'd need to spend ~ £100 on good racks, true if you buy new. I've got found front and rear Tubus racks for 1/2 to 1/3 of that here on the STW classifieds, the CTC classifieds and on eBay. They are awesome racks I've done some epic tours with mine.

I just bought a Fargo and will be fitting racks to it too.

Not a Swift, but a Surly 1x1, I use Old Man Mountain front rack, Carradice carradura front panniers (made in England, by 'Sue' if memory serves), SQR saddle bag. Carries all you have described and used in France, England and Scotland. May add an Alpkit frame bag if I need to take more.

I'd recommend a QR mounting rear rack rather than using P-clips on the frame - both more secure and non-frame damaging.
