I have in my mind an idea to get a train to the most remote train station in the UK at Corrour then ride home.
Corrour was the station in Trainspotting and looks like its in an amazing location. Don't know why it appeals to me - but I love going somewhere on a train then riding home!
I would be riding back to Huddersfield, I would be on my road bike which had full guards and I could put 32c touring tyres on it. I know the first 10 miles are off road on a gravel track which shouldn't be much of a problem but obviously it'll be roads from then on in.
Might be a chance I can get somewhere to stay in Perth, and maybe somewhere inbetween Glasgow and Edinburgh through friends and relatives.
I would want to stay in B & B's.
Any ideas on route, things to see on the way, no go places??
