Stage hosting towns announced: http://letour.yorkshire.com/tour-de-yorkshire

Full routes to follow on 21st Jan.

Cyclingnews says that Scarboro will host the start of Stage 2. Anyone taking bets on Rosedale Chimney on Day 1? Would be a fun hill-climb prologue!

I'm still surprised they're going to brid. Evidently the organisers haven't been there before.

I reckon the Wakefield stage ought to take in the Tom Simpson memorial (you know, the other one).

If Wakefield and Leeds are on the itinerary then they can come through Morley and tip their caps to Beryl Burton.

Not at all, it was always designed to be a legacy event after the Tour/Grand Depart. In fact it's still being part-run by ASO, the organisers/owners of the TdF.

Same as the RideLondon event was a legacy from the Olympic Games Road Race.
