Apologies, one for yet another tyre thread and two because I'm pretty sure someone asked this a couple of weeks back but I can't find the thread.
Anyway, having just put a small cut in my rear tyre and now having tubeless wheels, can someone recommend some tubless road tyres that are good for this time of year, which will be replacing my now dead GP4000.
I’d just buy another. GP4000s are now pretty cheap as they’ve been replaced by the 5000. Otherwise Duranos are tougher and ride well. I find the GP 4 Seasons not as nice a ride as Duranos and the Gatorskins frankly awful. Like riding on hosepipe.
I've Hutchinsons Fusion 5's in a 28mm tubeless, through last winter, and I looked at them the other day and their isnt a cut on them. I'll be getting them again, although not for a while as dont seem to have worn much. Went up easy with a track pump, went down a bit for the first week or so but soon settled.
They feel like a decent enough ride too.
Although I did go from worn out 25mm's with tubes, to new 28mm's without tubes.
+1 for Hutchinson Fusion in the all season version, and make sure it's the 11storm compound, feels very surefooted in the wet.
Hutchinson fusion 5 11storm (catchy name isnt it). Took a week or so for them to seal completely. Use stans race, dont cheap out seems to have helped after the first sealent didnt maintain pressure.
Had one puncture this year, dropped to 60psi and sealed when reinflated at home. Caveat to that ive ridden the gravel bike most this year so they have probably still only done <1000miles.
No signs of cuts yet and round here (chilterns) my tyres always seem to be picking up small nicks that need supergluing.

A rare (almost) consensus on STW?
Funny enough, another vote for Hutchinson Fusion 5 11storm here. Bought 28mm, as they were cheap, and I plan to set them up tubleless when I can be bothered. Currently with tubes in, in the wet they feel excellent. I was on Contis before.
I bought them as they were on a cracking offer on Evans, and the odd review I could find was very good.

It would appear so 🙂 Will get one ordered.
Bookmarked for my next purchase.
Schwalbe G-One Speed are good, although wider than 25.
I never rated the Hutchinsons in the wet, although that was a while ago so they may have better compounds now.
That merlin link claims they are 250gms for a 25 mm tubeless all weather tyre. Surely that's not even close to actual weight.
Another vote for the Hutchinson all season, great ride and fairly robust. On my second pair in 4 years on the winter bike. Can’t fault them.
Just weighed a brand new tyre twice 246.5g.

315g according to hutchinson, so a smidgen heavier than the same size gp5000.
[Edit] presume sandboy's are the tubed version amd merlin have copied the wrong number?
These are the Fusion 5 (11storm)tubeless ready in 25mm. Weighed a third time coming in at 246.3 but the original rubber band snapped so had to use different one. Quite surprised myself!
My Hutchinsons are noticeably smaller than my schwalbe Pro ones in 25mm, if you have a bit of spare space you might fit in 28mm. Again, another vote for 11storm Hutchinsons.
