Lezyne flow, never dropped a bottle using my pair even on proper rough stuff and they're nice to use.

I've just switched to specialized zee but only cos the hyper green colour matches the new frame and is more 'enduro'... 😳

They don't feel as secure though, and they're definitely harder to put in/take out. I prefer the flow - but i've not dropped a bottle out of the zee's yet.

If it's for the downtube, Spec Zee (bonus you can get the one that holds the multitool) If it's going on a seat tube don't bother with it though, they don't hold 750cl securely enough when mounted on the seat tube.

Yep, as above, look at a Zee. Try one out first, though, as they're a bit picky on which bottles they like! 🙂

There are new models of the various spesh bottle holders so the old ones are less than half price. They had both in stock at my local concept store and I couldn't tell the difference. Just funky colours left though.

I have a [alloy] zee cage and love the side entry so bought another....mistake - I think the alloy version may actually be a superior design to the composite version I bought. On the alloy version the bolts are more recessed so less scrape getting the bottle in. I'm going to 'downgrade' to the alloy version.

Cheap alloy. Try BBB or even cheaper ETC ones. Got 1 of each on my rough stuff bike. Not lost a bottle in 4 years and 20K miles.

Running an alloy Zee here. I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

I went alloy over composite because the hyper green matched my frame too. 😆

BBB Sidecage in aluminium

Choice of right opening:

...or left opening:

Both types available in black. Have one on my SC Superlight 26" (which has a very tight area for in-frame bottle mounting), and has proved tough and secure.
