Howdy folks, I've been in touch with santa cruz to get some touch up paint for my bronson v2 but they don't stock any - they did however give me a pantone colour code.
Anyone know where i can buy a small amount of paint made to a pantone code? I've spent the afternoon searching online and i'm ****ed if i can find anywhere. Cheers!
Just message any of the eBay (car) touch up paint sellers and they should make you one up.
cheers, found a place now. they do RAL codes so needed to convert.

RAL is for paint whereas Pantone is for ink so surprised that's what you've been given. This will also be the reason no-one is offering to make up paint to a Pantone colour! Doubt you'll be able to get an exact match between the two as they're different palettes.
Dunno, the Pantone code is what the dude from the Santa Cruz factory gave me (PMS 5483). While the RAL equivalent isn't exact it should hopefully be as near as dammit for the naked eye.
Which RAL are you looking at?
I have colour fans here…
Cheers Kelvin, looking at RAL 5024, which is the closest match according to the converters i've used.
Looks quite different to me… although I can't see a closer match… so might be as close as you'll get. Where do you need to use it on the frame?
Ral/Pantone aren't translatable, it doesn't work like that. But both can be used for paint and you might find a reasonable match. Ral seems more popular. It's a while since I've done much colour stuff. We always use LAB values as they were a bit more universal and covered the gaps between the colour cards.
Anyway, you can mix to a specific colour in plenty of paint systems this way. Scan the colour, input into a database, get the right level of colourants. Like the dulux desks you get in DIY shops but on a smaller scale.
Have a look for model paints. Enamel paints to see if they sell by pantone.
I came across this link with a little looking

cheers for that! Just ordered a bottle
Can I ask where you got it from, and how good the match turned out to be? I need exactly that colour for exactly the same frame!
