Morning All,

By chance, through a work contact, I have been offered a chance to complete a MBCuk Technical Trail Leader (TTL) training course. Which makes gaining the qualification very easy; except from paying for it.

Whilst I have heard of MIAS, SMBA and other providers CTC, etc I know very little about MBCuk other than what’s on their website, http://www.totalmountainbiking.com/about-us/

Can I ask has anyone any experience of MBCuk or Total Mountain Biking?

Cheers in advance

not heard of it, would be interesting to see who it is accredited by. In the end of the day it depends what you want out of it, if your going to be leading groups (insurance), teaching or guiding then it matters if the course is recognised. If you want to improve your skills and learn how to look after you and your mates in the hills then probably go for it.

I think Total Mountain Biking offer the MBCUK training and awards, MBCUK website is here: http://www.mountainbikecoaching.com/

MBC is recognised, TTL is the same as MIAS 2 etc.

I have done a course (as have a bunch of colleagues) and the MBC bit is excellent, but can't comment on TMB I'm afraid!
