I'm looking for a torque wrench at the moment for bike bolts.
I'm looking at teng, Sealey and mighty.
I like the last one as it has the bits included but as I already have a set of hex bits probably not needed. To use the bits I have would I be able to buy an adapter if they don't fit?
What you torquing ?
Carbon bike bits ? My money would go on the sealey, although being mindful that they ( ayn wrench) can be quite in accurate at the extremes of their scale .
So with that in mind i would look for something with as narrow range as possible -0-10 or something .
Shimano do a 0-15 wrench.
Fwiw i have the teng you linked to t i use it mostly for cars , my own bikes have never seen a torque wrench , customers bikes always did and we had a couple of halfords ones and relevent calibration dials for them.
Yeh carbon bike bits trail_rat.
I'll take a look at the shimano one.
cheers
Wiha do a nice looking torque wrench. There tools are always quality too.
About £80 if you google it.
If you're only torquing a few components at 5Nm, like handlebars and seatposts, might be worth just getting a Torque Key?
Wiha stuff is nice..... Really nice ..... If i needed to know between 1-5 instead of just 5-25 i would have had one 🙂
