I have a Hammerhead Thumper 29er. It's the same as the Switchback Unveil and very similar to the old Kona Satori. It also shared the back end of the Bird Aeris. I'm looking for frame pivot bolt torque settings if anyone has them for these frames. Failing that, the closest bike design I can see is a 29er Stumpy, so I might have to torque to those settings. Trouble is, the torque recommendations vary massively between bikes, it's hard to know what's what. They probably just pick random numbers.
Bumping this in case anyone can help...
Did you ask Stuart, the guy who imported them?
The tubes (Seat stay and chainstay) are the same as an Aeris but the rest of the bike is different, including the pivot bolts so I would probably not recommend that you use the Aeris torque values. IIRC though the pivots on the Hammerhead don't run spacer tubes so over tightening will kill your bearings, so I would err on the light side, but I could be wrong.
Stuart doesn't know them. Yep, no spacer tubes apart from top shock eye, just bolts through bearings into threads. Think I'll have to plump for 10-12Nm with loctite and suck it & see.
