Anyone using one of these?
Looks good but can't find many reviews.
I've looked at these and other similar concepts. The thing that puts me off is (a) a compromise on tool size/quality and (b) the idea that the tool will get mucky and possibly unusable. I'd rather have a decent tool and keep it in a bag (either worn or attached to the bike).
Thanks scotroutes. maybe a small saddle bag (Weecog) is the way to go then.
I have one, although it wouldn't fit in my frame triangle due to the shock placement so it just ended up being an expensive multitool! The Multitool is good though, it's the one I carry on all rides now (albeit in my bag/pocket).
It will fit in my new gravel-y frame though so I'll probably start using it as intended on that. It's well built and the compartment for the tool swings sideways and then unclips so it's secure for keeping the tool in place. With mounting a pump on an offset bracket to the side of it, and taping a tube somewhere out the way it pretty much covers all my requirements for short local rides without carrying the kitchen sink or a backpack.
Edit - looking at the CRC reviews it seems I'm not the only one that couldn't fit it in my frame!
What frame was it out of interest? I have a 2017 Trance (medium) that I was hoping to fit it to.
Don’t forget to get your matching chain tool: https://www.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-tools-and-maintenance/topea-ninja-chain-tool/11365969.html
That was on a Medium Whyte T129S, which has a really narrow angle between the toptube and downtube:

Giants have a much more conventional shape to the front triangle, so I imagine it would be fine.
Just purchased one so hopefully it'll fit. I'll post back with some feedback.
