I have a 2016 Orange Crush and a carbon Capra. I'm pretty sure the Capra is out due to the shape of the tubes, but I'm really struggling to find something that will work on the Orange. All the seats I've seen require an awful lot more head tube than on any modern short/low stemmed bikes I see. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? My son is only 12 months, so will require something I can strap him into. I think he'd love it. And so would I.
I'm not sure its the headtube that would be the issue more the geometry of a modern bike. He'll be looking up at the sky most of the time 🙂

cloudnine, when you say steerer, does that mean over/around the spacers, or are you removing spacers? Any chance you have pictures of it mounted? I would definitely be interested if it would work.
Weeride will fit if you have an external upper cup headset and not too long a dropper post. Mine is on the old XC bike though, as a permanent fixture - too much hassle to take on and off my proper MTBs.
Be warned though, some get addicted. My 17 month old son gets very excited when he sees a bike, particularly one of mine, and very angry if he's not allowed on it. When we get home on the Weeride I now remove him before putting the bike in the garage so he doesn't see his big sister's bikes, tries to climb on them and have another meltdown...Still, it's nice to see some passion! 😉
Just resolved this problem on my on one fatty.
Problem, not enough headtube for wee ride clamp due to short headtube and top tube design.
Options , clamp to frame and damage frame, clamp to steerer tube spacers and risk scoring steerer and causing failure at some point (also loads of friction)
Solution,
Sealed Bearing race that has the internal diameter of the steerer tube (bit looser) and an outside diameter and thickness that fits in the weeride clamp. This way I replace a couple of steerer spacers with the bearing and clamp the weeride front clamp to that, voila. No friction in steering and no damage to steerer from spacers rubbing whilst turning. Bearing was a cheap one from eBay and I added some insulation tape to better seal it. Rock solid on first ride out

You do need about 3.5-4cm of spacers to take off and put the seat mount onto the steerer..

It fits any size steerer and you can press the quick relase button to take the whole seat off and leave the clamp in place. Ive ridden around fine with the clamp left on. Not my bike but this is clearer
