Just wondered what top tube bags stw folk use? I need one for the gravel bike to fit my phone, battery pack, keys, snack etc. Tools and tube are going in a saddlebag. Any recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks.
I have an Upso bag, made by Carradice from old lorry tarpaulin. Recommended.
Big Podsac one from Planet X
I have a restrap one. It’s very nicely made and does the job well. Plus it’s UK manufactured
I’ve got an Alpkit one.... and it’s a rotten design tbh. Daisy chain at the front is now one massive, irreplaceable Velcro strap and the other straps they give you are the cheapest going. Ended up having to buy better straps and 76Projects A.S.S. Clip to make it a decent product
Thanks both, will put those on my list!
Loads of options, liking the idea of uk made and recycled materials. Looking at ones made by beerbabe, would the inner tube construction perish easily?

Came in here to post about restrap. I've got the "race" version as I can't stand a floppy top bag. It's pretty good.
Been impressed by everything I've bought from Restrap.
Yes, they look well made
Yer mine restrap sits solid. Lasts well in the rain. Forgot to say takes a iPhone 11 with case and food plus other bits and bats.
Not cricket bats or flying bats though

I came here to post the exact same thing! Are you me?
Have a restrap, fits a jacket, phone, Co2 and tubeless bits. Delighted with it.
Restrap bolt on on my gravel bike, Alpkit ones on my other bikes
Bolt on Restrap on my gravel bike, not yet used in anger, definitely is a step up in quality from my Alpkit

Looks like they've changed the design. The older ones had a daisy chain of loops that you threaded the velcro through so replacing it was easy.
One thing I've noticed with top tube bags is that the profile of the top tube makes a difference to the stability: oval or those tubes with a flattened top are fine, round tubes not so.
If your bike has bosses on the top tube then I'd probably go for a bolt-on model.
I've been using the Farr Aero one, my thoughts here

And if you suffer from floppy bag syndrome
