can anyone recommend a decent quality tool kit ?
seem to see offers every now and then from chain reaction and planet x ect but also read mixed opinions on them,
a work mate and fellow bike told me park tools are a decent brand,
anyone know if these do a kit ?
thanks in advance !

Id say buy a cheap complete tool kit for the little used specific tools, a bahco socket set and allen keys. Maybe also need a rubber mallet, the shimano BB cup tool and some wire cutters and you could do nearly any job on your bike

If the money is burning a hole in your pocket, by all means, I'm sure it would be nice to have the best.

Otherwise I'm with Cloudnine. I bought a £25 toolkit from Aldi. Some of the stuff in there has a lot to be desired. But the vast majority of it gets the job done. Most tools don't get a lot of abuse on bikes, they're just gently fondled. Then you can splash out on the individual tools you would like. Rather than forking out, say £600 on a full Park Tools kit.
