Browsing on eBay this evening and found this.
Sorry for the big link. The poxy forum crashes my iPad when I link to url.
Yes, the lumen count is bollox but they've used a USB for power. Interesting because you can use of of the Phone charger battery packs as a nice compact power supply. They're cheap and come in loads of sizes.
Struck me as a good idea.
£6.99?
Bloody hell..
Oh wait.. it's an auction.. Cheeky sods.
the buy it now are £9.99 without a battery pack .
does anyone sell USB battery pack .
i like the idea as the solarstorm are great lights but the battery packs let them down .
The last few have gone for £7.49 or they are £9.69 buy-it-now. Nice idea. Usually carry a usb battery as an emergency phone charger. Could chuck this in too for some light on those rides that go on a little longer than planned.

Not seen a USB battery with any waterproofing, suppose it might work kept in a pack.
Some of the Solarstorm battery pack aren't that bad anyway and you can always source better ones
I doubt you can draw more than 3 amps from the battery pack, that won't bring you anywhere near the quoted lumen count.

How many amps can a usb connector and cable carry?
Even the cable makes a massive difference.
Nice idea though giving plenty of battery options. Almost worth trying; especially so if you already have one of those powerbanks.
