Sunny day so just had to get out . Mike is trying to get his fitness back after his op christmas time so he came along aswell. All was going well until 15 mins in my rear gear inner cable snapped ! An allen key and a bit of gaffer tape later and I had a three speed(front gears only). It didnt spoil the ride really though as the blast down Weacombe combe made up for the hassle . Comments ?

Sorry for benig dumb, but whats the gaffer for?
I recently broke my rear gear cable in the alps, but was adjusted the hi lo so that the derailleur was in a more useable position.

I used gaffer tape to hold an allen key in the rear mech linkage to hold it in a useable gear. I tried the hi-low screws but they didnt move the mech very high up the cassette.
