You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Guys I'm having a bit of trouble deciding whether I should sell my beloved Kona mountain bike. The reasons for me wanting to sell it are as follows:
•I feel I've outgrown it whereby it's uncomfortable on all day rides
•I'm starting uni in September and I won't have much time for m.b. 🙁
•I have an unfinished single speed road bike that needs money to finish
•I'd love to move onto a full sus. in the near future.
•I feel I won't get as much as I'd like as money has been spent on upgrades
The thing that's holding me back is the thought of being without a mountain bike. The bike is so fun to take around the short trails where I'm constantly off the saddle it's just a shame that it feels too short to be an all day rider.
I bought it for £700 and was wondering what sort of price I should ask for it now. There are scratches and plenty of cosmetic marks but no gouges or structural issues!
So here it is guys my 2010 Kona Buffer:
•Renthal stem and 20mm fatbar lite handelbar
•Hope pro 2's on Stans flow rims
•Odi Ruffian lock on grips
•Recon Sl 120mm Fork with 20mm thru-axle
•FSA Orbit mx headset
•Hope Seat clamp
•Charge spoon saddle
•Kona seatpost
•Fsa Comet Crank with Shimano XT bb
•Xt casette and xtr chain
•Hans Damf trailstar tyres
•Superstar nanoflats
•Xt rear and deore front derailleur
•Shimano cable outers and cables
•deore shifters
•Shimano deore hydraulics

Any suggestions would really be appreciated,

Split it and sell the bits? You will probably get more £.
Keep it - i still have my Kona Cinder Kone bought in 2001. It lives in switzerland now but i still see her occasionally.
If it's too small for you there's not much point in keeping it.
You may as well split it if you are going to sell.
I suggest you get a 29er single speed frame and two sets of wheels, one for road, one for trails.
