Im wondering if it would be best to join a cycling club, I ride off road 3.4 times a week allways on me own and would be nice now again to ride with some company I use the weaver valley and whitegate way regularly and see groups of riders Im 52 and fairly fit any advice would be appreciated

Our club allows three rides with them before you should join up, this is based on non members riding under the clubs insurance etc.

The rides are also graded so people have an idea of expected mileage, skill set etc.

Life's too short, give it a go and see if you like it.

I tend to ride on my own but usually head out with my local club maybe once or twice a month. I wouldn't want to only ever ride on my own but then again wouldn't want to only ever ride in a group either.

Try a google search for Weaver Valley Cycle club. I'd post a link to there website if I knew how to!
