TLD Skyline Pant - Sizing issues

Few days ago I bought a pair of Troy Lee Designs Skyline Pants:
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/troy-lee-designs-skyline-pant
At the time only blue ones were available in size 38. I tried them on when they were delivered and the fit was spot on. Just after that, I realized, that black ones (which I much more prefer) were back in stock, so I returned blue ones and bought black ones in the very same size. They were delivered today and to my very surprise they are way too tight in comparsion to the blue ones which I just returned. I did check all tags and in both cases it was definitely size 38 on them. How weird!
Has anyone encountered this issue? It really baffles me now. I do like the Skyline pants, they feel quality but my dillema is whether to re-order blue ones to be on the safe side or try different colour option (I quite like "solid clay") and risk it.

I had that with a black Skyline jersey, size L, perfect fit, bought the same one in grey size L, could barely put it on.

Seven different pairs of Skyline troos here and they're all true to size.
Same for tops and shorts.

Thanks for this you just cost me £40

Ordered the 34 in clay so will see how they go.

I've got 4 pairs of skyline shorts from over the years and they all fit different I've got a mix of 32 and 34, I seem to always be in between sizes so just have to try on and see what fits.

Same issue here, I ordered 34 in skyline pant a while ago and couldn't fasten them up, just seen the down to 39.99 so ordered a 36 to try, not here yet.

After the pant dissapontment I ordered some skyline air shorts in 36 this time and they where so big that the velcro won't adjust enough to keep them up.

I've worn skyline shorts for years in a 34, not sure what's going on with them nowadays.

TLD sizing is all over the place. I've 32" shorts that almost fall off, 32" shorts that fit perfectly, 30" I can't get in, 30" that feel good...

My skyline pant trousers arrived today, ordered on Friday night! I miss when chain reaction used to be like this all the time.

They fit me ok, I'd say the waist is smaller than one pair of 34 shorts I have the legs are quite loose definitely more relaxed the my Fox flexair and longer length as well.

Not convinced on the clay colour looks better in the pics but for 40 quid they'll do for playing in the mud on my bike.
