If you saw this advertised, what weight would you expect the post to be?

I bought this off ebay and discovered it weighs 330g!! Hardly super light!!!!

Mis-advertised? Have I got a legitimate case?

Have I got a legitimate case?

Unless he specified an actual wieght in the description, then no. Did you not check the weight before you bought it?

Ebay will probably side with you though.

Depends how long the post is as to whether it is light or not

Aah superlight compared to what? That is light for a Titec. I got 31.6 one with a secondhand frame a while ago that weighed 440g but it would have survived a nuclear explosion. Titec >/= Heavy = do your homework!

I don't think you've a leg to stand on.

Nobody made an actual claim for the weight, saying it's super light is subjective so your idea of super light and someone else's is going to be different, so it's not really mis-advertised.

Chalk it up to experience and move on.

If you were that bothered, you could have established which post it was and checked the weight pre-purchase.

Cut it in half? That should take it sub 250g.

Was it auctioned or BIN and from a business?
If BIN from a business DSR applies.

Useful rule for bike stuff- if something says it's light but doesn't give a weight, it's probably not light.

My very first question would have been "how super - light? In grammes?"

A bit like when a waiter tells you not to touch the plate because it's extremely hot. First thing you want to know is "exactly how extremely hot?" and you have to find out. With your fingers.

It's only 80g more than you hoped.

Time for a poo?
