I'm fancying having a play about with the set up on my 26" MTB…..so long stem and a set of Titec J Bars

Trouble is, other than a listing on eBay at £53, I can't find any…..(£53 seems a lot higher than the last time I looked!)

Anyone know of any stockists??

If that's a legit listing on ebay then £53 is a good deal if they're discontinued - i've had offers for nearly that much for my second hand ones.

Are they discontinued for any other reason than lack of demand? Any problems with them?

Not the j-bar but i have a set of hbars.

Can't see any benefits over a mary bar and the cross piece just makes the whole placing grips and levers quite annoying.

Some alternatives for you...

Humpert Spacebugel

(Technically, H bars, but you can't be too fussy)

Titec licenced the design from Jeff Jones and did a production run.
They all sold out as there weren't cheaper Jones ones available. Now JJ does ali ones albeit more expensive than the Titecs.
Not sure where the ones on eBay are from but I'd be surprised if they are NOS. Sold out of Manchester last time I checked but likely from the Far East.
Secondhand they go for £45-50.
Nothing wrong with them IMHO. I ran four sets on various bikes at one point or other. Gone back to Jones ones now.
I have a friend with a set he'd sell as he's just had a set of JJ Loops off me.
cheers
Tim

Hi John,

Have these got a 31.8mm clamp?

Got a couple of pairs I'll be advertising soon if anyone is interested.
£45 or thereabouts. One pair a bit narrower for Stanmer tree steering duties!

Those Alpkit bars look awesome for giving your mates a lift back from the park on.
