Following on from the ti stem thread - I'm a little tempted by some Ti bars (without a ti stem!) for my rigid (ti) 29er for maybe a tad more comfort. Any views?

I suspect just letting a bit of air out of your front tire might be a much cheaper way to get the same level of comfort.

But obviously not as bling.

I've got Thomson Ti flat bars, they feel like every other bar I've had

I've got van nicholas ti flat bars with a ti stem which definately make the bike comfier at the front. Whether its in the head or not I don't know but I'm happy.

If you really want comfort the KCNC Scandium bars are very "forgiving" and also very light.

There isn't really a logical reason to buy a Ti bar, they are heavy and expensive but they are Ti and look nice. I wouldn't go for it personally but plenty of people seem taken by them.

Haha -yep I'm alway busy! - I'm pretty sure the frame conversion mike is talking about was my plan to convert it to 650b - but sadly I haven't had the time or the funds to do this over christmas, but I have done a few modifications aimed at stiffening up the front end on the frame (pictured) - I have added a small box section piece.

As for the titanium bars they are some prototypes from here - clicky
