What's the STW thought on this? Here https://www.komoot.com/tour/790255063#previewMap Looks like a mash up of WHW, Badger Divide, C2C. I was thinking of doing the Badger Divide N-S in mid July. But might consider this although I'm not to keen on the City excursions.

Looks like a fun concept.

City excursions would add a bit of variety and interest, though increase the level of bike security required.

Getting all the waypoints stamped would need some careful timing to make sure each branch was open.

Takes in a couple of bits of the country I'm less familiar with.

500 is somewhat under-selling the distance but at least it doesn't have "Divide" in the name of the route!

That's what I was thinking, I would rather do it and not worry about holding myself to time deadlines.

Looks like its approx. 190 miles tarmac and I'm was considering doing on a hardtail rather than a gravel for no other reason other than I wanted to tour on my MTB. (I think TJ has sown the seed)

It's a tour of Tiso stores with a massive detour to Aberdeen and back.

I'd be tempted to head south to Ballater and then to Glen Clova, but I've never done that specific route.

I'd probably also miss out Dundee, Edinbugh and Glasgow....

Why would anyone want to go to a Tiso store? Strange way to plan your cycle route if you ask me.

I live less than 500m from the route so logistics should be easy enough 😉

Outdoor stuff or supplies maybe.

If i was doing it I wouldn't get too hung up on going to the Tiso stores, but as a circular route it has a few plus points.

The Tiso ride looks interesting, I also live pretty much on the route so logistics would be ok, I'd also probably cut the section to Aberdeen out, mostly to save time and to stop riding the same section twice (albeit in reverse the second time).

I've signed up to do the Badger Divide in September as part of the Scotduro, fingers crossed the weather will be ok. So won't have the time this year. Maybe April 2023 🤔

I'm pretty much on the route too and has good bail out options. I agree cutting out the Aberdeen section too IIRC it's an old railway line or something from Banchory to Aberdeen and it's pretty flat all the way.

Best outdoor shop I've been to, in the UK at least. I'm not sure I'd be up for shopping mid-tour though.
