It finally stopped raining this morning so I popped out for a quick blast to clear the cobwebs.
I don't know what was worse, the cross winds or the headwinds and the fact that the tailwind never adequately compensated.
I know I'm a shandy drinking southerner but this run of strong westerlies isn't usual down in Oxfordshire is it?
Grumble moan ramble.

Agreed, I despise the wind always have done and sat looking out of my office winding thinking shall I get changed at lunch and go out this evening when I finish? Looking across the park seeing the trees bending is giving me a head vs heart moment. I went out Tuesday evening for the first dry ride in the last 6 and from a normal pace of lets say 14mph I was pushed back to 6 .. bloody wind !

The wind direction in East Anglia changes in the afternoon. So every morning I am gifted with the most delightful headwind, but by the afternoon it's shifted enough to become a side wind which is full of surprises. My Garmin thought I had crashed and sent an alert message because I was leaning over so much!

Only good thing about it is that it dries out the slop alot quicker.
At least That’s what I’m counting on,I plan to do the Essenden muddy sheep track of doom tomorrow afternoon!

I rescheduled all five coaching sessions this week due to the weather. I never jump when it's high winds
Hopefully riding tomorrow regardless but just singletrack. My partner commutes to the station by bike but I take her all this week as it's easy for a.gust to throw you into traffic

The eMTB is really nice to commute on when it's this windy - headwinds don't matter and it's so stable that crosswinds are fine too. But jumping in the wind is horrible on anything!
