In spite of my intention to make my pre-ride get-ready routine less faffy I've gone and got myself some chili bullet cams for road rides (after a recent very near miss with a range rover). I can't figure out a decent method of mounting the rear-facing camera though. It can't go on the side of the seatpost (gets in the way of legs and one bike has an aero post). Saddle rail not ideal as it's already used for saddle bag.

Has anyone come up with any nifty solutions I could copy? Ideally a seatpost clamp (that could work with aero posts) and that would hold the cam inline above the rear wheel

Strap it to your rear hub. At least 50% of the time it'll be pointing more-or-less backwards 😁

Under a rear rack might work if you have one (probably not on an aero bike!) or on a seat stay.
Either way just padding the mount with extra rubber/elastics might be enough.

Perhaps you could attach the velcro mount to your saddle bag?

Chilli themselves do various attachments for use with Gopro mounts, you should find something suitable there.

Thanks. The ones chilli do won't quite work for the rear. Maybe attaching the cam to the saddle bag somehow is the best option.

If I could find a go pro seatpost clamp that held the GoPro attachment out about 3 or 4cm I could use some old light brackets I have. Alas they don't seem to exist!
