Got myself a cheap tt bike, and having given it 30 min on the turbo it's clear that the cockpit needs altering.

At the moment it's a planet x base bar with extensions that curve upwards.the top of the arm rests are about 3 cm above the base bar and the tips of the extensions about 14 cm above the base bar.

I want to be able to keep the hand position where it is, plus the height of the base bar, but raise the arm rests by 3 or 4 cm. I can't do this with the bar o have so will need to buy a new one so looking for options. I notice that alot of the pros have quite alot of spacers under the arm rests, but the only ones I can find seem to attach directly onto the bar in a similar position to the one I already have.

So what is out there that won't cost hundreds of pounds?

The planet X stealth bar ? You can space between the base bar brOcets and the arm rests with the selcof spacers they sell.

You will need new bolts too mind

Yep it's the stealth bar I have.

I saw this but it's looks far to thin..at 7 quud each is need about 10 if them! https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/HBPXSTBKIND/planet-x-carbon-spacer-individual-for-stealth-bars

Or do you mean this.. https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/HBSRSSUCTT/handlebar-spare-riser-spacer-selcof-ultra-chrono-tt

Struggling to see how that would work with the bars I have.

Don’t suppose you areafter any wheels? I’ve got some FastForward 50mm deep carbon aero wheels I need to shift. 10spd though.

Can you buy one spacer and get some more 3D printed? I’m sure there’s a few guys on here that will do it.

Tpbiker the second option

Guy in my club runs them in his stealths I was looking at my options for the same thing last week -theres another TT cockpit thread on page two.

I ended up with 3t Vola ltds and inverted use 40s as my issue wasn't just lifting the pads I needed to find the MK2 extensions which it seems you already have.

The 3d printer idea thing isn't a bad one.

There should already be one of those 7.99 spacers under each armrest if the bars are as stock.

Take that and scale up

I don't have a spacer under mine. O have access to a 3d printer, if you are talking out of making them from plastic?

How easy is it to design a basic object to print if you have no design or cadd exp? I'm happy to give it a go if it's easy enough.

TT forum has a seller who makes wedges for all makes. It’s the place to go and buy.

And sell too.
