I'm converting my mum's hybrid bike to an ebike, using a kit with a motorised rear wheel. My latest hassle is that the rim is on the very small side of 700c, and the original tyre just started popping off at about 20psi. What cheapish hybrid tyres around 40c wide are a very tight fit, and would give me the best chance of getting this done?
Ta!
WTB are usually tight.
I've read a few reports recently of GP5000TLs being a swine to fit... A pair of 32mm?
extra layer or two of rim tape ?
(are you sure the rim's small and it's not just that ht eold tyre is loose (maybe it's been blown off the rim at some point before now)
I don’t think a GP5000 would last long on an ebike....

Mine were super easy to fit
