With my immaculate timing thinking of a winter road bike to replace the 'well loved' Kona Jake. Don't need the CX ability anymore, times are a changing.
Must have mudguard clearance, the tart in me doesn't like the Ribble frame. Much as I'd love a VN Yukon or something similar in titanium a more sensible beast is required.
Anyone have any experiences of the Tifosi or Kinesis, certainly around the quality of paint finish (paint falls off the Kona after giving it a Paddington Bear hard stare).
Not a racer, might get used for a sportive or two this year, mostly slog maybe to work, winter sunday rides etc. (hence m/guards).
I have a K Tourlight, it seems pretty good, no idea re Tifosi.
Genesis?
Equilibrium if you want steel and the cheaper Aether if you want aluminium, both fit the bill.
I have an aether as a winter bike and it is nice.
I've got a tk2 and nearly prefer it too my Trek Madone with carbon 50's!!Mainly cos its more comfortable and i seemingly can't set up the trek as comfortably no matter what I try.Certainly up to sportives etc.
Have no experience of Tifosi or Kinesis sorry... but any chance you're going to have a kona jake for sale soon?
