anyone got a tidy way of routing front brake hose with a sus fork.
please share it with us all.
I use a zip tie coiled round the hose and then round the brace - this means that the hose cannot touch the fork brace and is securely anchored.
down and through the brace, zip tie it in place. sorted. use a looser zip tie looped through another to let it move

Ton, have a look on crc. They do these hose guides with rubber o rings that go round the fork kegs. They're ace
with neil only £5 from crc and is the business - can rub a little on the forks where itattaches but just perfect for the job.
one is solid and clamps the hose the other one is bigger than hose so slides over hose when forks compress.
Bodges with zip ties sound good as well though.
That's the one I meant 🙂
Its an old pic and the guide is further up the leg now, but it would be difficult to get a simpler setup than this.

You need upsidedown forks though 8)
Another vote for the guides neilb's posted.
Work on every fork I ever used including upsidedown forks.
I use those M part clips. Just great.
Mpart clips here too, courtesy of Swinnertons
Get the hose to the correct length. Adjust the angle the hose comes out of the caliper to run smoothly along the fork leg. One tiewrap. Getting the length of the hose right is the crucial thing
Not too good at explaining things but hopefully the pics will show it a little better. I run a zip tie around the top of the fork leg. looped through the cut off end of a second tie (with the ratchet bit removed with a stanley knife), around the hose and back through the spare tie loop, then fastened normally. The extra loop holds the hose away from the stantion.
The Bombers do have a hose guide but I found when using that the hose still rubbed on the stantion.

Apologies for the filth 😉 but I'll be back out in it again tomorrow.
mama, that is what i was looking for.
super, ta very much.... 8)
I do sommat similar to mama dirt, but I use a cable ferrule with the end chopped off in place of the 2nd cable tie. It works just the same, but looks a bit neater I reckon.
I use Park Tools inner tube patches to keep all my cables off my frames and forks. makes a hella difference when you sell a frame on if it has zero cable rub anywhere.
