We have our free membership but never done either despite being close to home.  We are going to 417 Sunday so thought we should check out some local riding.  Any reason to do one over the other? Jnr is fine with anything at 417 or FOD that’s isn’t a big gap jump or the big drop on GBU ... but new place I’d rather let him work up at his own pace.

Well if you go to Tidworth, you could pop in for a cuppa - I can see the bike park from my back garden!

Nothing too big at Rogate, most drops are a couple of feet high, some jumps including doubles

Only thing to watch for is Rogate is very sandy so loose when dry, great when its been raining or winter though

So no special reasons for one vs the other ?

(Brew excepted)

Rogate is 40 min vs 1hr for tidworth .. but Tidworth apparently just open a race run ...

it may we’ll depend what time Jnr wakes up 😀

Tidworth is having a DH race next weekend so they opened up the course early for people to practice. think it a mixture of a couple tracks with some new bit to link them.

It prob want be there after the race.
