I'm about to start some training sessions on the velodrome, and they seem to be red-hot on making sure that you don't have anything in your pockets before taking to the boards. Watches also seem to be forbidden.
I'd love to get some data from my sessions, and as I used Wahoo I'm wondering if the Tickr X heart strap is the way to go - it has activity monitors built in, and it includes a memory so it doesnt need a head unit or phone in action.
Does anyone have any experience of this heart strap? Any flaws in my plan, or other options I should look at?
A wee bump to stop it dropping off the first page...
I use a Polar H10 (because I have a V650 and M600..) - very good, seems accurate and also has option to record without a phone or other device. Don't know the Tickr X at all, so can't compare - but at least ticks the
other options I should look at

You can mount a Garmin on your saddle rails with a race face mount. You can also mount one upside down on your stem. Either is allowed.
