Has anyone put a 29 on the front of a Mk1 Ti456?

Not on a mk1 but yes on a 14" van nick one , MrsbeanZ only complaint was it wondered on steep climbs.
Swapping to flat bars would have cured that IMHO . I'd post a pic but Flickr just won't work on my tablet.

I did that to a ti copy of a Marin Rocky Ridge frame, which I also single speeded. Went rigid using the 26" On One carbon fork rather than the 29er one. It actually rides very nicely, but I ended up flipping the stem and running flat bars to keep the front end down. I suspect with a 29er fork it would have been quite nasty, works very well with the current set up.

I suspect you'll have to try it to find out, but it might work...

Need to be careful with travel (ie front wheel hitting the down tube) and foot 'clearance'.
