Sorry folks, this may have been done a hundred times, but what are your thoughts on the best current road frames around the £1k/£2k budget?

I need something with a stiffer bb area.

Current thoughts are:

Lynskey R230
Litespeed Xicon
Litespeed Archon (may be too pricey but seems superb)

Any other suggestions?

Burls - Custom built. If you are in Southampton you're welcome to try mine out. Super stiff around the BB / rear triangle but rides great.

Get on carbon; Ti is way over-rated.

Out of interest how do they stiffen a Ti welded frame, is it size or shape?

Tends to be tube profiling, downtube and seat tube junction gets beefed up

I like the idea of Sabbath, but when I browse their images their frames just dont hit the spot for me.

Ill check out the other suggestions above, cheers.

anyone with experience of the Litespeed Xicon?
