Just bought a fiat doblo for a bike van.
Adrian Flux quoted and accepted £219 fully comp with £175 excess, pretty good i think
it is restricted to 5000 miles. i got an additional £20 off as i am a member of pistonheads
5,000 miles?
Hoping thats not your primary form of transport?
Ive put 30k on my Volvo in a year... 😳
i'm with them too for our camper. so far been the best insurance company i've used - very welcoming when i dumped a subaru engine in it 😀

seems perfectly reasonable if you dont chose to live a million miles from work.

or choose to work a million miles from home
I've found them good, I've got the Camper insured with them. Finding a self-build, 20k mileage with 10k business use campervan policy can be tricky, but they managed it and at a decent price.
Blimey.
Aviva, 2004 T5 Kombi with all mods declared, 18" alloys, chrome bars, tints, seats & carpet in the back, retrimmed, etc
Fully Comp, £250 excess, unlimited miles, business use, 0 NCB as it's on the other car.
£206 🙂 No charge for changing my plate once the cherished one became available either.

I live 16 miles fom the office, hardly a million miles?
Granted, site visits are further afield mind..
30k miles is hardly typical use.....and i was right your using it for work purposes.
i found once i stopped using my car to go to work and back the milage dropped off dramatically.
we did 10k last year inc driving to gap in france from aberdeen and back .....

You don't have to go to France to buy unfashionable, brightly coloured clothes. We have their stores in the UK too you know, unfortunately 😉

no its not my only transport
i could have got it lower if raised the excess too
still im pretty happy about £219
We're with Adrian Flux with our self converted camper too. Best company I dealt with when trying to insure it during the build and now after it was reclassified they are a bit more expensive than others but fully cover everything in and belongings, which other companies wouldn't.
AF are great as brokers, but who have they given as your actual insurer? I'm currently doing the "my car is worth this"/"no, your car is worth this" rigmarole with the delightful Equity Red Star.
Thankfully, I've just stumbled across the Financial Ombudsman's rules on car valuations and they weigh heavily in my favour.

Aviva. The motorbike was fully comp and cost £99. The kangoo 1.4, £450+. Same insurance (AF) on three vehicles. Where do they get that price for my Kangoo?!
