I already dropped Thule a message about this but thought I'd ask the collective here too for any experience..
I've had a velospace rack from new and always used on the same towing hitch. However now the clamp mechanism which captures the ball head simply doesn't open enough to allow it to slip over the ball head. It looks like a couple of the internal clamping elements don's retract correctly when the clamp lever is fully open. From what little I can see there appears to be some kind of elastic which just pulls each of the four clamp elements but is bust on the two problem ones.

Has any one seen similar and been able to resolve? If so how?
