[Closed] Thule roof carriers - longevity ?

Mine live on the car all the time, as they are used a couple of times a week. I give them an annual look over, regrease etc. Current ones (3 sets) are around 4 yrs and 80k miles old - do they last forever, or should they get replaced at some stage ?

Mine have probably done a similar number of miles having had them on two cars for the last oh 14 years or something like that. I've replaced some of the fragile plastic wheel holder bits but that's about it. The only reason that I'll be retiring them is that my new car will have a tow bar so I'll be going for a new rack.

Mine are now 10 years/200000 miles old and perfectly fine still.
