Hi.
Thule roof bar question; Has anyone used a slightly different length roof bar?

The guide suggests I need 135's but a friend has some 127's going cheap.

Is the measurement the minimum or is there some leeway on these? Hoping someone else has tried this at some point.
Thanks.

I would suggest sticking to the recommended length as you will find they will not fit/lock on properly!!!!

Which bars are they?

I have the Wingbar Edge - They have a certain amount of adjustment in them, probably around 8cm ish but no more than that. I guess the simpler bars would have more adjustment. I would imagine it's just a case of luck whether they'd fit fine or not at all for you. You could always try it?

I went up a size, they just fitted due to the lack of adjustment track.

If your mate has them, can you not try them on?

Blatant opportunistic for sale...

I have a pair of Thule 962 135cm Wingbar Edges that I don't need anymore as they don't fit my new car. Also have Thule Rapid System 754 feet.

Make me an offer? Located in Solihull near Birmingham.

If we're doing this: I've got a BMW-branded Thule rack for a 5dr 1 Series (F2x). BNIB never fitted.
