How much is normal? Mine makes a creaking noise that you can hear from inside the car when cornering. And when you shake the bike side-to-side it you can see the 2-piece plate at the front of the carrier separating slightly.
It's not that well used: I've had it about a year and probably done 20-30 journeys (counting a return trip a as 2).
Not the best videos but you can see and hear it here:
That doesn't sound right, mine doesn't do that. I've got the square bars though which may make a difference. Sorry, that's not much help is it?
Are the screws in sections B/C of this diagram torqued up properly?

Don't have answers but I also get the scary noises inside the car and have some wobble. I thought it was normal. But now I'm going out with my torque wrench to make sure things are nice and tight.
.. in the past, I had one of the things in section 5 a bit loose, and tightening them both up helped a lot. But I still have some slack.
Mine have wobbled like crazy ever since i installed them. They've been on there 6yrs now and have been all over Europe and UK, not lost a bike yet. I do think the wobble is weird tho.
Mine are at the very ends of the roof bars, as i sometimes put a roofbox between them, so that could be a factor.
Mine does this too. Sometimes hear the creak in the car. It’s on Thule wing bars but I can’t see the type of bar makes any difference. It looks like play between the main bike holding bar and the body that it’s sat in.
I don’t love the carrier if I’m honest - tempted to try a different one. Fancy a Yakima front loader or high road. Just they’re a little bit pricey.
Mine had quite a bit of flex which was unnerving but apart from wind noise it didn't make a sound. There are allen bolts inside as pointed out so get in there and nip them up.
Mine went to the French and Italian Alps and back twice with zero issues despite being able to see the shadows of the bikes rocking side to side when the sun was out. Scary but no complaints.
No wobble here when static. Sounds like you need to tighten some bolts. Bikes can oscillate (wobble) while driving especially with narrow tyres/wheels that sit in the trough and not supported by the trough sides so front wheel oscillates side to side a bit, but that is a gentle side to side motion and fine upto and over the legal motorway speed limit.
