Does anybody know where I can get a 15mm boost thru axle adaptor for a 561 fork mounted carrier?

I can only find handmade aftermarket ones on eBay, but would like a genuine product.

Cheers

They don't appear to make one at the moment.

I noticed one wasn’t available on the Thule website. Boost has been around for a while so I wonder why?

What at do you think of this? Watch the video. Is there any risk of damaging the axle/fork?

@bigbloke cheers, I’ve seen that, but my only concern is this is aftermarket and not genuine Thule. I’ve mesaged the seller and he advised it’s made to the exact dimensions of the genuine article, but as Thule don’t seem to make one I can’t see how he’s machined it?

Apologies I didn't read your first post properly, you already found the aftermarket versions.

The thule ones I had were just heavy cast items quite crudely finished certainly not finely machined, the sellers item appears well machined. It's just a stepped tube essentially after all. I'd buy one if I had roof racks again.

I looked into buying one of these but the only review I've seen said that it damaged the thru-axle which put me off getting one.

They do seem to be a good idea if you've got a couple of bikes with different axles though.

The genuine product is an overpriced hunk of pig iron. They are easy to make if you have access to a (friend with a) lathe. All you need is the OD of the existing QR adapter; length is 100 or 110 depending on the fork, ID as close to 15 as possible...

I have been using one of these for my Meta55 for years https://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/thule-561-1-thru-axle-adapter/aid:420101

never had any problems with it at all.... there are cheaper alternatives out there....

Cheers all.

Think I’ll go for the machined on on eBay.

Dredging up an old post here...

I've seen the machined ones on eBay but was looking to make one myself for a 12mm TA, does anyone know the outer diameter of the tube?

I don't have the rack at the moment so can't measure it myself unfortunately.

The 20mm axle off mine is 25.9mm Ø.
I made a 15mm one for my bike and used 1" bar...no problems at all.

Great, cheers for that, I'll go the 1" route.
