I've been running a pair of Thule 561s that I leave on the car all the time, and now they have become so rusty they adjuster wont turn!
Any tips to stop this happening? I was thinking of putting some sort of cover over the metal adjuster part when not in use, just not sure what.

grease, oil, rust inhibitor etc. ACF-50 is quite good for this
