Anyone got any recommendations for suitable threadlock for things like the screws that hold the pulley wheels in place on a rear derailleur?
Loctite 248. Semi solid and is in a lipsalve dispenser so no waste.
I like 222 for small stuff. Never let me down but easy to break away with hand tools.
IIRC Loctite reccomend 222 for anything under M6. 243/248 bigger than that.
Used to be a 222 user but have recently switched to 248 as it's easier to use (like a lipstick so no waste, mess and easy to control how much you but on) plus I've had variable results with 222. Either there's not enough to stop things rattling loose or there's so much that it makes undoing the fixing, especially small screws on RC cars etc, tough without rounding them out. More likely down to the application method suits me more than the product but it's what I prefer.
Thanks all - just the sort of advice I was after. 🙂
