Is anyone using these? Are the supplied screws and real plugs good enough? I’ve got a few and it’s come with 25mm ish ling screws with normal rawl plugs. The wall I’ll be hanging off is brick and normally I’d use more hefty screws and plugs to be on the safe side but will be going directly into a single skinned brick wall. 5 screws per rack and just hanging the kids Frog bikes and my commute bike so no hefty MTB. Anyone using these with the supplied screws and are they man enough for the job?
Thanks
got 2 ~14kg mountain bikes, and my lads 24" bike on the pedal hanger arrangement, granted mine are also resting on shelves for the wheels, and i think my rawl plugs and screws were longer than an inch
on mine the weight is kinda pulled down and away at the same time, it would take some serious effort to pull them out
youd notice them get loose before they fell/pulled out
25mm doesn't sound like much mine were atleast 50. But that maybe because I don't trust my bricks.
I’ve got one and it’s ok so far. I bought the heftiest looking one I could find and used the supplied fixings.
I didn’t like how the bike sat on it and could rotate a bit tbh - so I’ve attached a bit of timber for the wheels to sit on with the pedal hanger holding the bike to the wall. Works perfectly.
Bike is a circa 8lb road bike but I tried my (really quite heavy) Carrera Hybrid on it too and that’s also fine. The timber is taking a bit of weight though I guess.

8kgs obvs - not 8lbs. That’s not even possible!
Thanks for replies. Actually on closer inspection the screws are closer to 40mm long and 4 per hanger so should be ok. Was also planning to attach a wheel shelf too mainly to prevent any rotation of the bikes while hanging rather that taking load off the hangar. Will crack on and give them a go.

I don't use the screws or plugs that come with anything tbh, as they're pretty much always shit.
Depending on the situation of course, I'd be tempted to attach the hanger to a wooden board and hang the board on the wall. It will spread the load on the wall and stop it scratching the bike. It will also make it easier to attach hooks and shelves for bits and bobs. I'm assuming this isn't an internal house wall with it being single skin.
I like the hack/bodge version of this that was on GCN- someone used a metal socket back box to hold the pedal!
I have a couple of track bikes that use those. Most of the weight is on the wheel blocks.

That’s my approach too and usually use expandable anchor style bolts for things like this. But I usually the kits have been supplied with half decent screws and plugs so considering just using them for simplicity.
Anyone mounted them so the bikes are at an angle, not as much as 45 degrees but maybe 30 degrees? Could probably squeeze and extra bike in the space available. Would need something to locate the wheels of course.
Interesting, I've not seen these before. I have recently lost half of my garage to a new downstairs bathroom so I either need to come up with better storage or get rid of a couple of bikes. Can you stack these so you have three or four bikes on the same bit of wall?
Any particular brands that are recommended?
Currently got our bikes hanging on wall from front wheel on a hook but would like to be able to get my car on the garage too so looking to these hangars as they seem to get the bike particularly close into the wall. I have seen them arranged one above the other before so you can arrange them how you like.
I've got four of these on my garage wall. 40mm screws. I put blocks to support the front wheels only, as they tended to rotate otherwise. @franksinatra, I just bought them for £4.95 from Halfords. I can have one bike on the floor, and then two more stacked above it on these hangers. The heaviest is probably my Anthem at just under 10kg.
