Bit long-winded but only suggestion I can think of (other than using a different type of wheel magnet) would be using decent heat-shrink tube... but do do that you'd have to remove the nipple, unthread the spoke, put the heat-shrink on, re-assemble and re-tension...

Hmm, that sounds like a bit of a ballache (although I admit it would end up with a very neat end result)

I'd expect any kind of brittle glue (e.g. superglue or epxoy) to fail before too long, as the spoke will be stretching/contracting ever so slightly each rotation, especially on rough ground. The glue won't want to flex as much so will eventually crack off. I'd try a more flexible glue like evostik, perhaps combined with some very thin wire or fishing line to wrap around the spoke to tie in place.

Tape them on with heli tape?
How about either wrapping insulating tape around it or a number plate sticky pad?
Something like Sikaflex, Tigerseal and some 3M insulation tape around the outside. I think the heatshrink idea is probably the best idea.

This. The Garmin sensors have been excellent, particularly with my Powerpod, mounted on the front hub. I use the cateye sensors for the integrated Giant speed/cadence sensor too, but don't really bother with speed except on the turbo!
Got a Wahoo cadence sensor on the crankarm and a garmin speed sensor on the rear hub (I know you are supposed to put them on the front, but it works fine on the back and it doesn't ruin the look up front.!)
Was very pleased to get rid of the big wart on the chainstay and the magnet on the wheel with the added bonus that they got shunted onto the winter bike whose looks I couldn't care less about..!!
