How do i stop them creaking? tried everything.
Or, who wants a 30.9 and 31.6 thomson post for swaps?
Lube everything then cinch up good and tight. I then found it was the saddle creaking......
you sure its not you swifty? 😀
swift - fancy an SDG I beam in 31.6 ?
mine creaked too, stripped it re lubed and re torqued - several times using different grease, loctite etc, still creaked, drove me nuts! Then as a last ditch effort i ran a strip of electrical insulation tape along each of the saddle rails, and 5 months on not a squeek, happy days!
I've never had a squeaky Thomson post (only had 3 mind you) but I've had a few squeaky saddles.
If theres an ibeam saddle up for grabs also?
The one on my Pace never creaked until this month, the one on the Santa Cruz always has. Ones an SDG bel air and ones a spoon, so saddles are different, and seem ok. Have tried allsorts, even that granular carbon grease stuff, but never thought of insulation tape, will try it.
Seat post clamp, saddle or it's your arse.
My arse is free of creaks, and needs no lubrication before i get any offers.
got quite a few 30.9 posts. Roox, Kore I-beam, 2x NC 17s and another I think.
how long do you need it? and how long is your Thomson?
30.9 is about 330mm would need about the same. NC17 isnt the sexual looking one (if seatposts can be) with the red adjuster?
sorry, you've just creeped me out, there's no way I'm giving you my address nevermind swapping sex toys with you 😯
lol
Sorry, I'd need 400/410mm but I'll have a look at what I've got tomorrow but won't sell the NC-17s (both in use).
