Sounds like quite the read...

https://cyclingtips.com/2016/11/sex-drugs-and-self-sabotage-a-review-of-thomas-dekkers-tell-all-book-my-fight/

A real waste of talent in a shameful era for pro cycling. Hope it gets an English translation.

Sounds more like he has no self control really and as for talent, his results seem to suggest he was more of a journeyman than a top drawer talent.

Sounds fascinating. I saw on Phil Gaimon's twitter last week that he has outed himself as Luigi form operation puerto, having let that hang round Cancellara's neck for the last decade or so.

Dekker was a promising talent when he came on the scene but then it all went Pete Tong.

Sounds like Elisa Basso was pretty dirty in more ways than one 😯

Also interesting that Sky thought Steven de Jongh was acceptable as a DS for a good while, despite pretty much all Dutch cycling looking dirty as.

Sadly no translation of that bit yet!

Indeed, and no surprise that Riis snapped him up!

Sounds more like he has no self control really and as for talent, his results seem to suggest he was more of a journeyman than a top drawer talent.

He was a very promising junior and had some good early results. As for no self control, maybe, but then reading some of the stories, as an impressionable 20 year old you join a team like Rabobank full of your cycling heroes and they're all living this crazy life, it'd be pretty easy mess to fall into it.

tend to get doping confessionals out of the library rather than buy them, but would like to read Dani Di Luca's as he is so unrepentant (and bang at it) it should make entertaining reading.

Dekker ruined all the Cancellara is 'Classicomano Luigi' theories, though now apparently he was just 'Classicomano' all the time?
