Bought a set of forks from the forum - great price, showed up on time, but when my LBS started to fit them, found out the damping and compression didn't work and would need an expensive service.

I paid by bank transfer as PayPal gets on my nerves, so I'm left hanging, right?

Except I email the seller, who - after a perfectly reasonable call to the LBS to make sure the problems are real - apologises profusely. He's had them on a little-used HT for a while, locked-out, and so didn't know.

Refunds me in full, no questions asked, before I've returned the forks, and offers me a tour of his local trails if I'm ever in the area.

Not to be too cheesy, but it restores my faith in human nature. Thanks mate, and to all other righteous STW members.

Ta

Seem to remember a similar case involving some brakes and a guy called Real Man, or am I getting confused?
