An e-balance bike.

FFS. The last thing a balance bike needs is a battery. Never mind the lack of exercise bit, what about the weight when you inevitably have to carry it home!

That is just a mini e-motorbike!

Not sure if it's even legal in the UK?
No pedals - check.
Throttle - check.

The question is does it have a weight limit?

That is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Stopping kids burning off energy by bombing around on a balance bike, and touting it as a stepping stone to e-bikes for young cyclists, bloody madness.

Only problem I see with that is an Oset would be much more fun and useful
Mates daughter had one when she was quite small.
She's not fat or lazy.
She has been British girls trials champion though.

Would be ace for kids with mobility/leg issues, i cant see why theres so much stw outrage over allowing ebikes with throttles as it would allow those of us who are not blessed with stw levels of leg power to get about.

Isn’t the legal minimum age to use an ebike 14 in the UK? Can’t see that fitting many 14 year olds.

The irk about throttles is that is one of the legal definitions of bicycle versus motorcycle. Eg if it has one, it’s a motorbike. See also, motor and no pedals = motor bike.

Private land use only?

I think stuff like that is slower, sub 5mph iirc, whereas the above has modes that allow up to 11. Which is a lot when you consider the legal max for anyone over 14 is 15.5mph

Doesn't seem that different from what Oset have been making for years - https://osetbikes.com/gb/bikes/oset-12-5-eco/
