A couple of hours round the Royal Armouries Museum would be an option.

Pop over to Bradford for a mugging and a curry.

Leeds - yes Cycle Surgery as part of Snow and Rock and Evans opposite good little coffee shop on New Station Road. Look round town centre shops, Victorian arcade. To be honest I'm not a city person and I find Leeds rather bland - posting this from city centre now as here for weekend to see family. Interest lies in countryside around imo.

Harrogate - Betty's tea rooms ?

Betty's? The queues can be legendary, maybe scope out off-peak times.

Pretty sure there's a few nice things in the HGate area, and if you're spotty a couple of litres of the Sulphur Spring will sort you right out.

And beside Laynes Espresso you also have Friends of Ham

Leeds is great for shopping, food and beer. Some good examples of architecture and the Leeds Gallery is quite good but it's a small city and once you've had a walk the only thing left to do is sit and enjoy being outside (well - today is good)

Have fun

Get some spices from Rafi's, and some meat from the butcher in the middle (Harrogate).

If in Leeds, go and look around the kirkgate market, lots of interesting stuff in there, easily fill a couple of hours

Have a coffee/wrap etc at the middle eastern stand in the main market.....a good hearty stroll along to Evans/cycle surgery......lunch in Las Ramblas (tapas) or Theravadu (Indian) both excellent. Washed down with copious amounts of Leeds bitter

Park yourself on briggate and wonder why girls go shopping dressed like they are going for a night out.
