The orange Foes Mutz I've seen on the roof of a car at glentress a few times. Never seen it not on a roof, or muddy.

I saw that and thought the same thing. Proves you do have some taste despite that gopping thing you've bought. 😆

That Intense looks gopping and cheap.
That Foes, while it looks a whole heap of fun, is hardly a thing of beauty.

OK, Ok, I know...beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that.

I wouldn't say either of those is particularly aesthetically pleasing.

Purposeful and fun looking yes.

My fs isn't pretty either. I still see it and think yay I want to go play on that but it is not pretty!

I don't know how to post the image, but here's a link. I'm sure somebody with good IT on here could do it.

Not sure about those green forks on the Intense.

I'm not that interested in titanium or hardtails usually, but I would love a go on one of these...

Anything with a bent seat tube disqualifies itself, so do all "shitting dogs".

For me it's this:

Shand Drove with Rohloff+belt … mmmm!

But it's totally there for function rather than form.

415mm chainstays on a 29er!

Surely you can't be serious about that Renovo Badash? That's one of the ugliest bikes I've seen for a while.

I think the build kit looks out of place on it, and it's not really my kind of thing - BUT assuming it's built from ash, it's surely the greatest bike name pun ever?

And I'd love a go on one.

That katoom would be nice with a proper fork on it.

Considering this is a 150mm 29er, I think this is a pretty good job

[img] [/img]

Manages to look pretty normal, I really like the lines from rear axle to bars

(I own one of the cheaper ones but it's not as nice looking)

Intense is well shot ie you almost miss the fact that it's got crank bros wheels on it. Other than that it looks fun but not really nice looking. As someone said, it has purposeful, in spades (as well as ££££s)

rest of the posted options are a bit bleurgh*

That victoire isn't bad, the bent down is a minor niggle whereas the nicely understated frame and forks are completely let down by the stickertastic cranks and wheels.

*I wouldn't disagree with riding/owning any of them, but they sure aint lookers.

beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. Saying that not sure how anyone could think those fat bikes with skinny tubes look anything other than wrong..

Nah in the flesh it looks fast. Clearly not everyones cup of tea, but I see it more as a raging bull!

Beauties in the eye of the beholder though, I like the look of fast xc race bikes, hash-tag enduro bikes whith lokts of tavel and massive tyres look like cartoon representations of bikes to me.

It's just a shame those inverted RS forks are reputedly so rubbish!

I guess this thread just goes to show how subjective and personal aesthetics can be. Personally, none of the bikes posted so far have really caught my eye, at least not in a good way. That Mondraker is certainly visually arresting, but it looks hunchbacked to me. The Demon Frameworks head tube works well as an impressive piece of metal sculpture, but I don't think I want or need a bike to look like that.

My choice wasn't based on aesthetics, but on the nature of the bike.

A properly constructed laminated wood bike is definitely something I want to try out, ie "Post some pics of bikes you'd like to swing a leg over!"

Aesthetic considerations aside, I'd really like to try out this 'Dirty Sixer' 36" wheel bike.

This thread is supposed to be about bikes you want to ride, not look at - init?

Is there anyone who wouldn't want a go on that wooden bike?

Lots of nostalgia here. At the risk of sounding like an old grump, bikes were prettier back in the day. These days seems to be more function over form, particularly when it comes to carbon. Back in the day, the opposite was true. Lots of stunning bikes, but not a patch on today's handling.

BTW Wookster - if you fancy scratching that itch, I am selling my Moots Psyclo X RSL disc........

I saved this pic from eBay a few years ago because it was a bike I thought was pretty. Does form and function pretty well IMO

1900 Laclede

Or maybe it's a modern gravel bike with relaxed "modern" trail geometry. Note the 2" tyres.
