Went for a walk up Thieveley Pike yesterday - up from Towneley via Holme Chapel, Deerplay etc and straight down the front to the Ram in Cliviger.
Very impressed to see tyre tracks on the steep downhill straight down the front of the Pike to the Ram.

The route up looks great, but fancy a slightly less dodgy descent.

Anyone ridden it?
Which way did you come down?

Ta.

Its still in the "Calderdale secret stuff zone" innit 😆

Do you mean the bit that has trenches running across the hillside? If so try it, it's fun!
Or go further along towards Todmorden and head down to the Fish Ponds, I would avoid doing that during the day at weekends though unless you enjoy arguing 🙂

Not a whelk in a supernovas chance I'm riding down that! 😯

We usually ride the other side of the valley - not done much on Thieveley side apart from the usual stuff up round Flowerscar Road, the PBW & the Mary T loop.
S'not THAT cheeky anyway, is it?
It's quite near a bridleway 😀

Maps out again tonight and lights on charge for the next cold spell I reckon.

It's ok, I'm local. Well, I have been for 20 years, anyway. 🙂
Those extra fingers are great for the banjo aren't they?

Saddle right down, lean back and not too much front brake ha ha ha,
Oh and watch out for one of the trenches, it's bigger than the others 😳

yes, that hillside is better in the frost or in summer when bone dry

Can't possibly comment on digits and banjo's 😉

Yeah, ive done it from the old DEERPLAY pub on the top! Pretty insane decent which I prefer to end where they do the trails biking at the end of the railway tunnel! If you know where i'm coming from 😉
